New Message or New Task
A task is a set of messages that all work toward the same goal. For instance, if you’re creating a form, the following messages would all be part of the same task:
- Please create a form prompting the user for their name, address, zipcode, town, country, phone number and email
- Please split the “Full name” field into first name, middle initials and last name, and make middle initials optional.
- Please group the name fields together, the address fields together and the mail and phone fields together
If you then start building the page the form leads to once submitted, start a new task. That is a separate piece of work, and a new task keeps each conversation about one goal.
A long conversation is no reason to start a new task. Henosia keeps long tasks going for you, so you can keep refining in the same task for as long as it's useful.
Being deliberate about when to start a new task also makes your task list under History easier to search.
